Edinburgh Fringe

Its been pretty hectic over the past few weeks with the Edinburgh Fringe going on. We have been very busy playing gigs with the Ceilidh Club @ The Lot doing two Tuesday night gigs, a few gigs at Malones Bar and more playing on the Ross bandstand on Prince street gardens, all in all a very busy festival, and a few more to go before it finishes.

On the road again

This week we are heading back to France for some more gigs around Grenoble.

Last month we were filmed for the Josh’s band advert on TV for T-Mobile, and for the more observant you might be able to spot us on the current TV ad, or see and hear us on the single and video coming out in January.

9 Countries, 4800 miles and home

We made it home last night after a long few days driving from Frankfurt on Monday after our gig in the Frankfurt Art bar on Sunday, where we thought we passed through 4 countries on the way to Dunkerque. On the Ferry across to Dover we ment a film crew from Germany making a program about 4 brothers from a scrap yard traveling across Europe who came and filmed us as we where playing some tunes in the sunshine on the back of the boat.
Wednesday night we where playing at the Perfect 5th in Taunton, and then back up the road and after a few nights sleep in our own beds we’ll be ready for the Scottish part of the tour.

Dogs on stage

We had another great gig on Friday night in McMullers pub, Kofferen. It is a small town not too far from Dusseldorf but there was a good turnout for the gig and a even some lovely dogs, one which liked playing with us so much that it joined us on stage during the gig and wanted us to start throwing its toy for it…

Busking into Germany

We travelled up through Germany yesterday, Starting from Frieberg we drove North stopping for lunch in Strasbourg and busking for a wee while before heading on to Mannheim where we stopped again for some more busking, before finally heading up to Hoffheim where we ment up with some friends for dinner and more tunes.

Over the alps to Switzerland

On Friday we had a long drive over from Forli over the alps and into Switzerland. Thankfully the temperature dropped from the 40 deg in Italy down into the 20s which makes the gigs a little less exhausting. We have just finished a very busy weekend with a gig on Friday in a small Swiss village called Rue and then all day workshops on Saturday followed by a Scottish/Swiss ceilidh with a great mix of Scottish, Swiss and French dancing. We have a day off today to catch up with some sleep and then its on the road again tomorrow and into Germany.
